Staff/Child Ratios

PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the staff child ratio is met at all times at Happy Hearts Nursery.

DEFINITIONS

Staff – child ratio – A staff-to-child ratio is a measure of the number of children for whom each child care provider is responsible.

POLICY STATEMENT

Our staff-child ratio is in place to ensure the following:

• Each child receives sufficient attention from his/her teacher.
• No child at the nursery is left unattended.
• Avoiding any kind of accidents or untoward incidents.
• Being able to provide quality care.
