PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to ensure the parents are aware of their rights and responsibilities as a part of their child’s development and care at Happy Hearts Nursery.
DEFINITIONS
Rights – a moral or legal entitlement to have or do something.
Responsibilities – the opportunity to act independently and take decisions without authorization.
POLICY STATEMENT
All Happy Hearts Nursery parents enjoy the privilege of the below rights and responsibilities:
Rights of Parents:
- Happy Hearts Nursery gives parents the right to raise any concerns regarding their child with the nursery via Instant messaging, phone call or in person.
- Happy Hearts Nursery grants the right to parents to access CCTV camera footage in case of any incident occurring in the nursery with regards to the child.
- Happy Hearts Nursery gives parents the right to get information about the child’s well-being at any given time at the nursery.
- Parents have the right to refrain their child from indulging in extracurricular activities such as swimming, participation in events, dancing etc.
- Parents have the right to set up an appointment to meet their child’s teacher to discuss concerns about their child.
Responsibilities of Parents:
- The parents are responsible for ensuring that the child is sent to the nursery in a clean and hygienic manner.
- Any form of scratch, scar or wound that the child has encountered outside the nursery premises has to be informed to the nursery staff while dropping the child at the nursery.
- The parents are responsible for informing the nursery in case the child has any kind of sickness, flu, fever or contagious disease.
- Parents are responsible for signing the medication consent form before asking the nursery to administer any medication to the child.
- Parents have the responsibility to drop off and pick up their child from the nursery either themselves or by authorized person(s) who have clearly been listed at the time of registration.
- Parents have the responsibility of sending sufficient meals for the child that will last him during the period of his stay in the nursery.
- Parents are responsible for ensuring all the needed consent forms are signed and sent to the nursery in due time.
- Parents should ensure all the needed documents are submitted to the nursery before the child starts the nursery.
- Parents are responsible for paying all outstanding dues of the child before he/she leaves the nursery.
